Your key works every time, use it to get back in, or set a username and
password once you are inside. Setting one does not retire the key.

SonarQuant is in a closed beta and everything created here is deleted at the
end of the testing period. Leave your address and we will tell you when it opens.

Data source
Live prices in the sandbox come from a market-data account you hold.
Connect as many keys as you like, several Alpaca keys, several Finnhub keys, whatever you hold.
Each connection gets a name, and each book binds to one connection. Left on auto, crypto books
pick a Finnhub connection (Coinbase's real tape) and US-equity books an Alpaca one
(IEX prints, free history). The data stays licensed to you; SonarQuant only reads it on your
behalf, for your books. Why it works this way.

Get an Alpaca key: 5 steps, about 3 minutes
Create a free account at alpaca.markets/signup.
Email and password only. Choose Paper Trading when asked: no identity check, no deposit.
Open the dashboard and make sure the selector in the top-left says Paper.
Generate keys. In the right-hand panel find API Keys and click Generate.
Copy both values: the API Key ID and the Secret Key. The secret is shown only once.
Paste them here, key ID above, secret below, and click Connect.
We test the pair against Alpaca immediately and show a green dot.
Done. Your runs now stream from your Alpaca account: US stocks in real time
(IEX), crypto in real time.
Lost the secret? Generate a new pair on the same Alpaca screen and paste again.
Open the dashboard (finnhub.io/dashboard). Your API key is shown there: copy it.
Paste it above (no secret needed) and click Connect.
Done. US stocks stream as real-time trades; crypto streams from Coinbase through Finnhub.
API keys
An API key is what your agent presents to the API, and what the
sandbox page asks for. Keys are scoped: read can look,
trade can also create runs and place orders. A key is shown once, at creation.
Creating keys needs an authenticator app (two-factor), set up once below.
two-factor: checking…
Scan the code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, 1Password or Authy),
or type the secret in by hand:
Recovery codes. Keep them somewhere safe; each works once:
Your new key, shown once. Copy each piece with its button.
Or paste it later: key id in the first box, secret in the second.
Username & password
One sign-in for both areas. This username and password are shared between
SonarQuant and SonarSpeed; change them here or in SonarSpeed's Settings › Account and the other side sees it at once.
Your invitation key keeps working either way, a username and password are a second door, not a replacement.
